A conversation with the DJ set
DJ + percussion brings hand-played rhythm into a recorded set. Benza works across Afro House, Organic House and Latin grooves, listening to the music and shaping his playing around the dance floor.
His repertoire includes congas, timbales and hand percussion. For a live band, the approach shifts toward interplay with the other musicians; for a beach club or a private celebration, the performance is shaped around the occasion.
